"El Atentado"  (The attack)

Alvaro Uribe was born in Mexico City 1953 May 26th, he studied philosophy at Nacional Autonomy Mexican University, from 1977 to 1985 he was cultural advisor in France where he had the opportunity to work for the bilingual magazine "Altaforte", during 1986 he worked in Nicaragua, then he returned from Paris and Mexico and in 1988 he was coordinator of too many collections at Conaculta. 

 

The writer mentioned before was the author of  "Expediente del atentado" (File of the attack) in 2007, it received the Elena Poniatowska Ibero-American Novel Award in 2008; this novel was turned into a film in 2010 by Jorge Fons Perez and the name changed to "The Attack. The film was one of the first movies released in the year of the centennial of the Mexican revolution and the Bicentennial of Mexican Independence. 

 

Jorge Fons Perez was born in Tuxpan, Veracruz in 1939, has been awarded by the Ariel Award three times being recognised for his work in Red Down (Rojo Amanecer), he belongs also to the first generation graduated from the University Center for Cinematographic Studies of UNAM. Hi fist work "Caridad" is considered one of the best films of the Mexican cinematographic history.
